Pahalgam is aptly named as the ‘Valley of Shepherds’ situated about 98 kms from the Vale of Kashmir and dressed with stunning lush meadows and gentle slopes that meanders across this town. Pahalgam is perched at a height of 2,130 meters above sea level and is considered as one of the most scenic places in Kashmir. While March is still cool, April onwards marks the onset of summer season in Pahalgam. During this season, the weather is pleasant and favourable for day sightseeing. Temperature generally ranges between 25 degree Celsius and 11 degrees. This is Pahalgam’s peak tourist season and also happens to be an ideal month for the most revered Amarnath Yatra.
